Two Nights in the Walled City of Carcassonne

After leaving our Basque friends Christmas Morning 2016 in Vitoria, Spain, Tricia-Rose and I drove first to the Sanctuary of Lourdes, France to light candles of peace and then to Carcassonne where we spent two nights in the delightful L'Echappe Belle B&B. We were enchanted with this fortified medieval time capsule, enjoying walking the high inner walls and dining in a cosy fireside restaurant listening to a soulful Spanish guitarist.
